Join us as a Law Student Volunteer for the 2026 HNBA/VIA Annual Convention, featuring our signature programming and events dedicated to advancing Hispanic representation in the legal profession.

HNBA/VIA champions educational pipeline programs and professional development initiatives aimed at building the next generation of Latino legal leaders. As a student volunteer, you’ll gain invaluable experience and access to:

  • Hundreds of Hispanic legal professionals—including practicing attorneys, law professors, judges, and public officials
  • Cutting-edge CLE panels and plenary sessions featuring national thought leaders
  • Professional development workshops tailored for law students
  • Networking opportunities throughout the convention


Volunteer Benefits:

HNBA/VIA is pleased to offer selected volunteers a complimentary full registration to the 2026 Annual Convention (a $1,600 value). This includes access to most general programming and events. Please note that some events requiring pre-registration or designated as “By Invitation Only” are not included.

To qualify for this benefit, volunteers must:

  1. Be currently enrolled in a J.D. or LL.M. program (1L–3L)
  2. Attend a mandatory pre-conference virtual orientation
  3. Complete a minimum of 10 service hours during the conference


Please Note:

Failure to attend the orientation or complete the required service hours will result in revocation of complimentary registration.


Time Commitment & Important Dates

  • Virtual Orientation (30 minutes): Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. ET
  • Onsite Walk-Through & Setup: Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. ET
  • Annual Convention Dates: September 9–11, 2026

Attendance at all scheduled dates is required to maintain volunteer status. Please confirm your availability before applying.
