This year’s theme, “America at 250: Strengthening the Rule of Law, Elevating Leadership, Shaping What Comes Next,” will convene legal leaders from across the country to reflect on the nation’s constitutional foundations, examine the evolving role of the legal profession, and explore how principled leadership can help shape the future of law, democracy, and opportunity in the next chapter of America’s story.
About the CLE Program
The HNBA/VIA Annual Convention is one of the nation’s premier gatherings of legal professionals, corporate executives, and thought leaders. Each year, AC delivers a robust Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program featuring nationally recognized speakers and timely topics at the intersection of law, business, and innovation.
Our CLE programming is designed to:
- Deliver high-quality, accredited legal education sessions led by respected experts and senior practitioners
- Address emerging trends in corporate law, compliance, governance, and technology
- Equip attendees with practical tools to enhance their professional competence and client service
- Showcase diverse perspectives and promote inclusion within the legal profession
CLE Submission Process
The HNBA/VIA welcomes CLE session proposals from practitioners, judges, in-house counsel, academics, and thought leaders whose expertise advances representation and innovation in the legal field. Submissions that adhere to this year’s theme, “America at 250: Strengthening the Rule of Law, Elevating Leadership, Shaping What Comes Next” are more likely to be selected.

Q. I don’t see my jurisdiction listed; what should I do?
A. Contact hnbacle@clehelpdesk.net. You may be able to self-file for participation at this event.
Q. How will my attendance be recorded?
A. Your name badge will be scanned into each session which will take an electronic record of your attendance.
Q. I am a speaker, how will I receive my CLE credit?
A. You will follow the same process as other attendees. You will receive an email within 2-weeks following the Conference with a link to the HNBA’s online CLE system. This email will contain instructions on how to confirm your participation and print your CLE certificate of attendance. Your certificate will include any additional speaking credit (if applicable). If you have any questions after downloading your certificate, please email hnbacle@clehelpdesk.net.
Q. What are the CLE requirements for my jurisdiction?
A. You should consult your jurisdiction’s website for information regarding requirements.
Q. How will I receive my certificate of attendance?
A. All attendees will receive an email within 2-weeks following the Conference with a link to HNBA’s online CLE system. This email will contain instructions on how to confirm your participation and print your CLE certificate of attendance. If you do not receive the email by September 30, 2026 (sometimes they go to SPAM folders), please visit the HNBA’s online CLE portal and choose this event from the menu to be connected with your record.
Q. When can I expect to receive the email with my certificate?
A. About 2 weeks following Conference. If your state requires sponsors to report attorneys’ attendance, we will report your attendance by October 9, 2026.
